Blackout Protocol
A downloadable game for Windows
You are a small maintenance drone loose in a failing automated facility. Section by section — **Intake Bay, Server Spine, Coolant Loop, Reactor Core** — you have to bring three power relays back online and slip out the extraction door before an escalating **blackout countdown** finishes.
Between you and the relays: **roaming security drones** that patrol until they see you, then chase. You have a **rechargeable stun pulse** — one full charge, spent all at once, freezes nearby drones for a few seconds. Use walls to break line of sight, save the pulse for when you're spotted, and keep moving: as the blackout deepens, the drones speed up.
Four hand-authored sections, growing in size, drone count and pressure. One full run is roughly **20–30 minutes**. Clear win and loss states, retry any section, full pause menu.
**Accessibility:** no information is conveyed by color alone or by sound alone — relay status is shown as filled/hollow pips and a count, being seen is a word plus a screen frame, and every audio cue is mirrored on the HUD. Large readable type, a high-contrast / colorblind-safe palette, a reduce-flashing option, and full control remapping are in Settings.
**Controls:** WASD / arrow keys to move, **Space** for the stun pulse, **Esc** to pause. Rebind everything in Settings.
## Presentation
Deliberately minimal: every visual is a colored primitive drawn in code, every sound is synthesized in code. No bespoke art or audio. It's meant to read clearly, not to impress.
## What this is
Blackout Protocol is an **early evidence release from LUDOGENESIS**, an experiment in taking a game from a written commission all the way to a finished, independently reviewed, reproducible build through a fixed pipeline (contract → owned Godot production → fail-closed acceptance → automated bounded repair → independent verification → complete-game release).
**It is not a claim that a full autonomous game studio exists.** It is one small game, made end-to-end through that pipeline, shared as evidence. Notes, limitations and the acceptance trail are in the download.
